Mindfulbalance

Ordinariness is a simple presence in this moment that allows the mystery of life to show itself. When Thoreau warns us to “beware of any activity that requires the purchase of new clothes” he reminds us that simplicity is the way we open to everyday wonder. While consciousness can create a variety of forms, ordinariness is interested in what is here and now. This is the ordinary mystery of breathing or of walking, the mystery of trees on our streets or of loving someone near to us. It is not based on attaining mystical states or extraordinary powers. It does  not seek to become something special, but is emptying, listening.

Pure Background of Thought

The vast majority of people will always want something concrete to hold on to, something around which, as it were, to place their ideas, something which will be the center of all thought-forms in their minds. That is mind’s very nature. A background of thought is needed for fixing the mind.

Have a Pure background of thought or mental image. The mind assumes the shape of any object it intently thinks upon. If it thinks of an orange, it assumes the shape of an orange. If it thinks of God with an attribute, it assumes the shape of God. You must train the mind properly and give it proper, Pure food for assimilation.

You must have Pure background of thought to take you to the goal (Liberation). If you are a devotee of God (Religious person), have a background of thought of His picture and the…

Control of Body and Speech

If you are not able to control any evil thought, control the body and speech first. Slowly you will gain mental strength and will-force and will be able to control the thoughts gradually. If, for a moment you think you will not succeed in vanquishing an evil thought, at once get up and set about some work involving physical labor. One effort after another will make gradually the task easy and, in a few weeks, you will obtain a complete control over your thoughts.

Control the physical body and the speech first. Then slowly proceed to control thoughts. Do not speak ill of others. Control the senses of speech first. Gradually the mind will not think ill of others. The mind will say unto itself: “Why should I think ill of others when the organ of speech is not prepared to express what I think?” You…

Known is a drop, Unknown is an Ocean

The mind’s own basic nature is ultimately neutral.  It can be influenced by negative as well as by positive emotions.  Take, for instance, those who have a short tempter.  When I was young I was quite short-tempered.  However, the mood never lasted for twenty-four hours.  If negative emotions are in the very nature of our mind, then as long as the mind is functioning the anger must remain. That, however is not the case.  Similarly, positive emotions are also not in the nature of the mind.  The mind is something neutral, reflecting all sorts of different experiences or phenomena.

Today we will see the ways to control the thoughts in detail…

Self Inquiry

The first and foremost of all thoughts – the primeval thought – is “I”. It is only after the birth of this thought that any other thought can rise at all. It is only after the first personal pronoun “I” has arisen in the mind that the second personal pronoun “You” and the third personal pronoun “He”, etc., can make their appearance. If “I” vanishes, “You” and “He” will disappear by themselves. Eradicate this false little “I” of an illusory nature through proper Self Inquiry. Thinker is different from thought. Remember this. This gives the clue to the fact that you are the silent witness of the modifications that arise in the mind.

Annihilation of Thoughts

Raja Yoga teaches though the mental modifications. It gives you the power of expelling the thoughts or, if need be…

“Move On”

20 percent  with you, it’s raining.
80 percent with you, it’s amazing.
But you can’t stop the rain by falling
Though the sun still bright and shining.

Like a shooting star in the sky,
You’re gone just a glimpse of an eye.
Many days and nights go by,
“Always thinking of you”, without a lie.

Here, in the place living with my own.
Preparing again the light to switch on.
Repairing the broken glass by my own.
Until such time, I’ve finally move on.

WINGS TO WORDS...!

Too many expectations, just one life

Sometimes I sit; sometimes I am on stand by

I have lived my life rich and alone

Dancing and swirling and curling

Half full half empty in the cone

My hands are on white

Too pure and sometimes too light

I have the magic to be certain

To be the best and to be the name

I have seen the sky, the life and the swan

Sometimes she flies and cries

Sometimes she hit the ground

This time on time and place

Too correct to be a faithful dare

But the assurance is there,

Expectations are here here here

Eleven Hints for Life

1. It hurts to love someone and not be loved in return. But what is more painful is to love someone and never find the courage to let that person know how you feel.

2. A sad thing in life is when you meet someone who means a lot to you, only to find out in the end that it was never meant to be and you just have to let go.

3. The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you’ve ever had.

4. It’s true that we don’t know what we’ve got until we lose it, but it’s also true that we don’t know what we’ve been missing until it arrives.

5. It takes only a minute to get a crush…

Accept what you can’t change, and change what you can’t accept.

An important aspect of life that we all must learn to cope with is change. We must be willing to accept that in life there are some things that we just can’t change, and there are some aspects in life that we simply must change if we can’t accept them. There are going to be areas in our life, especially our relationships with other people that will never be able to change, because they require other people to change.

Implementing change within ourselves is hard enough, and trying to change the way that someone else behaves is also very difficult in itself. All that we can do is walk in love in everything that we do, and be willing to let go, or to also change the circumstances in our life that we can’t accept. No matter how hard…
