How do we deal with feeling funky, especially, when we do not know why we are in a funk? Do most of us go through such a malaise like disconnect, at times? Do we feel generally out of sorts? Have you felt that angst, without experiencing any strong emotions, like anger, frustration, sadness or disappointment?
Do you know people who exist in a funk as their normal mindset? If a funky mindset is not a constant, is it something we would like to ameliorate and move to a more positive, optimistic or productive mindset?
Are there learning opportunities within our funkiness? Is it really about mindset? What happens, when people accept the funk but do not give into it? Accepting the funk, what is the next step to productivity? Is mindfulness required? If we…
Your competition is watching you, but you don’t need to keep an eye on them if you’re not in their race. Run the mile that matters to you. Just keep going forward. Your gauge is not them, its who you were yesterday. -IM
I was so sad this morning when I visited P18 otherwise known as PIne Grove Trail. You can see the destruction of this beautiful location .. it is completely torn up. My husband and I walked the dogs there years ago.. it was such a beautiful serene area. The story I wrote about the woodland creatures was set in this location. Seeing the devastation was heart wrenching.
Times like this brings home.. nothing is forever. Forever is now.. in that moment. The trees were like cathedral walls, their canopy was magical. Now as you can see, what was, is no longer. When the crews finally do get in to start clearing away the fallen trees, the landscape will be forever changed.
Much like my world without someone I thought would be in my life “forever”.. was called away into his own “forever” – life IS. only we (me, myself and…
“Be the person who breaks the cycle. If you were judged, choose understanding. If you were rejected, choose acceptance. If you were shamed, choose compassion. Be the person you needed when you were hurting, not the person who hurt you. Vow to be better than what broke you – to heal instead of becoming bitter so you can act from your heart, not your pain.”
There’s something in the day that intoxicates me. Enchanted in the forest of life and living, I make my own path, only to get lost in the end. What’s more beautiful? Journey? Destination? Never mind! Both are as complicated as my mind. Destruction is a form of healing and pain, the reflection of feelings. Living, losing, I move on but for how long? I don’t know!
The word” our ability to reach unity in diversity will be the beauty land the test of our civilization-
Unity in diversity clears the meaning of the word oneness in the varieties. India is the best country proving the concept for many years .India is a best country where it is clear to see unity in diversities because people of many religions, race, culture and traditions live together . As when Unity in diversity word was established it came with seeing each other’s magnitude and bond.
Unity in diversity was given by Jawaharlal Nehru. As we all know that India is a country of unity in diversity. There are different cultures, traditions that we follow. If we give a look to past history of our nation after the partition of Bengal many changes took place. All the people and their cultural features blended so inseparably that they can be recognised in their…
Obaku came into the kitchen and asked the cook what he was doing. The cook said, “I am sorting out the rice for the community of monks.” Obaku said, “How much do they eat a day?” The cook answered, “Two and a half stone.” Obaku asked, “Isn’t that rather a lot?” The cook replied, “I rather fear it is too little.” Obaku hit him. The cook reported this to Rinzai. The master said, “I will go and test that old fellow Obaku for you.”
When Obaku asked the cook what he was doing, he didn’t mean to ask what he was doing, but he, revealing the true-Self, checked whether the cook could discern the true-Self or not. He asked the cook if he knew whether the essence of his being that was sorting the rice is the true-Self, Emptiness. In the realm of Emptiness there is no rice and…
