A FUNKY MINDSET

How do we deal with feeling funky, especially, when we do not know why we are in a funk? Do most of us go through such a malaise like disconnect, at times? Do we feel generally out of sorts? Have you felt that angst, without experiencing any strong emotions, like anger, frustration, sadness or disappointment?

Do you know people who exist in a funk as their normal mindset? If a funky mindset is not a constant, is it something we would like to ameliorate and move to a more positive, optimistic or productive mindset?

Are there learning opportunities within our funkiness? Is it really about mindset? What happens, when people accept the funk but do not give into it? Accepting the funk, what is the next step to productivity? Is mindfulness required? If we…

Pine Grove Trail

I was so sad this morning when I visited P18 otherwise known as PIne Grove Trail. You can see the destruction of this beautiful location .. it is completely torn up. My husband and I walked the dogs there years ago.. it was such a beautiful serene area. The story I wrote about the woodland creatures was set in this location. Seeing the devastation was heart wrenching.

Times like this brings home.. nothing is forever. Forever is now.. in that moment. The trees were like cathedral walls, their canopy was magical. Now as you can see, what was, is no longer. When the crews finally do get in to start clearing away the fallen trees, the landscape will be forever changed.
